This holiday season, the GivePulse team took a moment to recognize and highlight the dedication and commitment of our partners for their outstanding work around community engagement, service-learning, collaboration, and beyond.
The event celebrated changemakers from higher education, corporate, and nonprofit sectors, showcasing how organizations and institutions are transforming lives across their communities. Learn more about the awards and awardees below.
The Champion Changemaker Award:
This award honors organizations for their strong and innovative use of the GivePulse platform to significantly impact the community each serves. We will recognize a Champion Changemaker in the three following categories: Higher Education Institutions, Nonprofits, and Corporate, United Way, and Volunteer Center Organizations.
Congratulations to our three Champion Changemaker awardees:
Bowling Green State University, for their efforts in connecting students to meaningful service experiences and fostering strong community partnerships. In 2024, their students, faculty, and staff have logged over 16,000 impacts, totaling more than 67,000 hours served in their community.
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, for their outstanding efforts in connecting volunteers with direct service to their community. In 2024, they have had 36,650 volunteers who have logged over 53,232 impacts, totaling more than 133,710 hours.
Volunteer Odyssey, for their outstanding efforts in connecting volunteers and community partners with direct service to their community. In 2024, they have had 4,195 volunteers who have logged over 11,673 impacts, totaling more than 45,377 hours.
The Partnership Pulse Award:
This award recognizes a campus and community partnership that exemplifies an ongoing, mutually beneficial relationship as indicated by the number and quality of shared impacts.
Congratulations to our Partnership Pulse awardees:
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, through their partnership, have made a significant impact on ending hunger in the El Paso community, working together to improve the well-being of all its residents.
The Leader in Learning Award:
This award is given to two individuals annually who demonstrate outstanding utilization of GivePulse support resources. In their interactions with GivePulse’s support team, these recipients have shown a strong desire to understand and maximize platform utilization.
Congratulations to our Leader in Learning awardees:
Jovany Otero, Great Rivers Greenway, has been recognized with the Leader in Learning Award for his exceptional dedication to utilizing GivePulse support resources to their fullest potential. Great Rivers Greenway has been utilizing GivePulse for just one year, and under Jovany’s leadership, he has ensured success for both the organization and volunteers. Jovany has come to learn the platform inside and out by attending monthly webinars and office hours and utilizing the Support Portal. Jovany continues to bring feedback to Support to help us ensure the platform is functional for all.
Alyson Rodriguez, University of Florida, has been recognized with the Leader in Learning Award for her exceptional dedication to utilizing GivePulse support resources to their fullest potential. Her proactive engagement with the support team, coupled with her creativity and problem-solving skills, has enabled her to find innovative ways to maximize the platform’s usage. By demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and collaboration, Alyson has set a standard for leveraging GivePulse to empower her institution and drive meaningful impact.
