In keeping with our team’s mission of empowering social good, we regularly collaborate with incredible partner organizations, from volunteer centers to nonprofits to universities and more. Through these collaborations, we have been able to facilitate incredible opportunities in our communities. One such opportunity is this April’s Virtual Volunteer Week!
Every year nonprofits across the country celebrate National Volunteer Week at the end of April. This year we have been collaborating with our partners at Volunteer Odyssey, a volunteer center in Memphis, Tennessee, to activate remote volunteering efforts throughout the nation. While Volunteer Odyssey has mobilized their Memphis community, our team has been mobilizing nonprofits across the country to brainstorm, create, and share impactful opportunities to support their clients. Working with a few of these partners, we also created videos and promotional materials to help them recruit volunteers to get involved in their important projects, each responding to critical needs for their clients.
We are thrilled to be kicking off this effort with video highlights on our social media pages, where participating organizations will share details about the importance of each virtual activity for their communities. We’ll be sharing these videos, plus additional information and insights, on our Facebook page from April 19-22! During these times, volunteers can meet selected partners and learn how to help from the comfort of their homes. Projects can be completed at any time during the week, but the video introductions are a great way to hear directly from the organization. Make sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more!
